Planned and taught an adult vocal workshop at First Unitarian Universalist Church of Austin focused on building healthy vocal technique, confidence, and community through accessible, skill-based instruction. I designed the curriculum, set learning objectives, and delivered 2 workshops in a group setting that welcomed singers of varied experience levels. In addition to teaching, I managed event setup, registration strategy, and outward-facing promotion through Eventbrite and digital channels, supporting earned revenue and adult learner engagement. This project demonstrates the ability to translate artistic expertise into structured programming that supports lifelong learning, audience development, and organizational sustainability.
Organized and led a professional development session for teaching artists participating in ACMS’s Singing Class curriculum, ensuring instructional consistency, pedagogical alignment, and high-quality participant experience. I developed the training agenda, shared best practices for vocal pedagogy, facilitated hands-on demonstrations, and provided strategic guidance on pacing, accessibility, and student engagement. This session strengthened instructional capacity across the team, aligned teaching approaches with program goals, and contributed to overall program quality and sustainability. It demonstrates my ability to translate curriculum vision into actionable teaching frameworks and support colleagues through structured, practice-based professional learning. Over the span of 5 years, I created a multi-year voice program to engage young singers by teaching performance practice and music fundamentals. I developed and contributed to existing curriculum, accessible to other teachers, and then led several teacher training sessions. I remain a mentor to other teachers. Lastly, I created all of the pages on the Armstrong Community Music School website and work with the school graphic designer on the logo and branding.
