Public Funding & Community Arts Programming – City of Austin Work Sample
I prepared a visual and narrative work sample highlighting Armstrong Community Music School’s free, community-based cultural programs for inclusion in a City of Austin grant application. The sample documents large-scale, bilingual, and family-centered events—Celebración de la Música, Halloween Spooktacular, and Morning Glories—demonstrating consistent public engagement, cross-sector partnerships, geographic reach across Austin, and inclusive program design. This work showcases the ability to translate arts programming into compelling evidence of cultural impact, accessibility, and public benefit aligned with municipal funding criteria
NEA Grant Work Sample Summary – Media Submissions
Prepared and curated a set of media work samples demonstrating Armstrong Community Music School’s commitment to artistic excellence, accessibility, and community impact. The materials include bilingual early childhood music instruction supporting healthy brain development, inclusive performance opportunities for adults with disabilities through We Are the Chorus, and community partnership programs that provide free, public access to music across Central Texas. Together, these samples illustrate sustained artistic practice, equitable engagement, and the role of music as a tool for lifelong creative expression, healing, and community connection—core outcomes aligned with National Endowment for the Arts funding priorities.
Included in this document are hyperlinks to videos that I created to further highlight the work done by Armstrong Community Music School. I used Microsoft Powerpoint to create presentations that I then turned into videos that were uploaded to youtube. These presentations/videos were used in several other grant applications to highlight the school’s work.
