Cultivation Events for Donor Recruitment

Lunch and Learn: Event copywriting, production, and donor stewardship

Developed all public-facing copy and promotional materials for an Armstrong Community Music School Lunch & Learn designed to raise awareness of ACMS’s community programs, partnerships, and impact across Central Texas. I supported the event from concept through execution by advertising the program, coordinating logistics, and providing day-of event assistance, ensuring a professional and engaging experience for attendees. Following the event, I managed development operations by recording donations in the CRM and issuing personalized thank-you letters to sponsors and contributors. This project demonstrates the ability to integrate storytelling, event management, and donor stewardship to advance institutional visibility, community engagement, and philanthropic support.

Canto Cantina: Adult Engagement Event & Earned Revenue Strategy

Co-conceptualized, produced, marketed, and staffed Canto Cantina, an adults-only, ticketed music and social event designed to expand ACMS’s adult audience while generating earned revenue and cultivating new donors. The program blended live performance, participatory music-making, creative activities, and social engagement—featuring jazz performance, instrument “speed dating,” ukulele jam sessions, karaoke, and hands-on crafts—to create a low-barrier, high-energy entry point into the organization. I served as both a teaching artist and event staff, supporting participant experience while advancing institutional goals. The event successfully drove ticket sales and resulted in new donor relationships, demonstrating effective integration of programming, marketing, sponsorship, and development strategy to convert audience engagement into philanthropic support.
